Firm Biography

Andrew T. Karlin, Esq., is the principal immigration and naturalization lawyer at US Citizenship & Immigration Law Group. US Citizenship & Immigration Law Group’s office is located in Santa Monica, California, a beach city in the greater Los Angeles metropolitan area.

Mr. Karlin received a Batchelor of Arts degree in history from the University of California at Santa Barbara in 1984, graduating with high honors. His scholastic achievements earned him admission into the Phi Beta Kappa honor society.

After college, Mr. Karlin attended UCLA Law School. He graduated in 1988 after winning American Jurisprudence awards in Civil Procedure, Evidence and Remedies.

Mr. Karlin passed the California Bar Exam on his attempt and received his license to practice law from the California State Bar in December 1988. After starting his legal career at Cox, Castle & Nicholson, a respected Century City law firm, he opened his own law office on Santa Monica’s Third Street Promenade in 1992.

Mr. Karlin’s first immigration client was his wife, Fukuko, who is from Japan. After getting Fukuko a green card based on their marriage in 1993 (and later helping her become a U.S. citizen), Mr. Karlin increased his Immigration and Naturalization practice, and now helps people and businesses with Marriage and Family based Green Card applications, Employment based Green Card applications, temporary work visas, such as Intra-Company Transfer (L) Visas,   Professional and Investor (E and H) Visas, Entertainer/Sports (O and P) Visas, Temporary Business/Tourist (B-1/B-2) Visas, Student (F and M) Visas, US citizenship applications (Naturalization), and all other immigration issues.

In addition to being admitted to the California Bar, Mr. Karlin is a member in good standing of the American Immigration Lawyers Association and the Los Angeles Bar Association.
